Letter from the Founder

Greetings Family, Friends, and Fur Baby Lovers,
I’m Megan, the CEO and Founder of Classy Paw Yorkies and Treats. I want to take a moment to introduce to you my new and upcoming project that will take place once a year beginning in May of 2022: The Comfort ComPAWion Raffle. The idea behind this project is to raise money to donate to mental health organizations through the ticket sales of this raffle; while also giving people a chance to win a cute little Yorkie to call their own via a random selection drawing.
So, the big question is why? Why have I decided to do this: well the truth is for almost as long as I can remember I have been an individual who has dealt with depression. I don’t mean little moments of sadness; I am talking about the full blown “I don’t see the purpose in living anymore” kind of depression. Over the years I have tried various types of therapy including equine, in which I learned when I was focused on the horses, I had less time to dwell on my depression. I knew I could not house my own horse, but I could provide and care for a puppy. That is what truly led me to getting my first Yorkie. The more I was around my dogs the more I recognized that they could feel when I was stressed, depressed, or in distress and their loving nature always led them to try and bring me comfort. Which works!! Research has proven that when people are upset if they pet an animal they start to calm down and relax. Now it’s time for me to help others who have experienced similar feelings of depression and anxiety by raffling off one of Classy Paw Yorkies through the Comfort ComPAWion Project. Each year the winner will have the option/opportunity to share their own story if they choose. SO, HELP ME HELP UP AND LETS MAKE A DIFFERENCE ONE PUPPY AT A TIME!!
